Suicide Prevention Action Plans
Under the Suicide Prevention Act 2021, prescribed state authorities are required to prepare a Suicide Prevention Action Plan. Each action plan will include consideration of the state authority’s employees, partners, stakeholders and the people and communities they support in their everyday work.
Prescribed state authorities are listed in Appendix 1.
Together, these action plans will support delivery of the South Australian Suicide Prevention Plan 2023-2026 and contribute to the building of wellbeing and prevention of suicide distress in South Australia.
Action Plan Guidelines
Guidelines have been developed to support prescribed state authorities to prepare and develop their own suicide prevention action plans.
These guidelines provide contextual information and advice, and seek to support consistency and collaboration in the development of action plans and reporting against the Suicide Prevention Plan 2023-2026.
