Obesity prevention
Our actions across a range of program, public health education and policy areas are evidence based and reflect best practice in obesity prevention. Together these activities aim to address known and complex causes of overweight and obesity, reduce the impacts of overweight and obesity on people and community, contribute action towards the National Obesity Strategy 2022-2032 and ultimately support healthier South Australians across generations.
Community and stakeholders are key partners in our obesity prevention activities, including the South Australian Obesity Prevention Collaborative - made up of partners including Cancer Council SA , Heart Foundation SA and South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) .
