FoodChecker
FoodChecker is a free online tool which helps staff and volunteers within South Australian organisations to find out if the foods and drinks they supply meet setting specific policies, such as the Right Bite Food and Drink Supply Standards and the SA Health Healthy Food and Drink Policy.
Whether your organisation has a retail food outlet, external food service provider, vending machine or provides catering, you can use FoodChecker to assess individual products, recipes or your whole menu.
Staff and volunteers can use FoodChecker to:
- assess and plan a menu that meets Right Bite Food and Drink Supply Standards
- assess and plan a menu, catering menu or vending machine against the SA Health Healthy Food and Drink Policy
- get product and menu recommendations to make healthy changes
- assess individual recipes
- classify individual food and drink products
When you use FoodChecker to assess your menu, you will get a report which gives you tailored recommendations.
You can use FoodChecker anytime, anywhere, on any internet connected device.
