Mental health and wellbeing

Preventive Health SA is working to foster partnerships required to build resilient and connected communities and improve South Australians’ mental health and wellbeing.

Preventive Health SA actively engages with the SA community to co-design and develop projects and strategies that respond to what we hear about community mental health and wellbeing needs.

We have a number of important partnerships and sponsorships that allow us to broaden the reach and impact of our work. These include:

  • providing support, and working collaboratively with South Australia’s Mental Health Commissioner
  • supporting the Lived Experience Leadership and Advocacy Network, linking people with lived experience to advocacy and representative opportunities
  • supporting international students, the South Australian LGBTQIA+ community and South Australian senior citizens through our specialised community advisory groups

  • Suicide prevention

Preventive Health SA understands and acknowledges the significant impact suicide has on our community and is partnering to deliver key initiatives for suicide prevention, including the South Australian Suicide Prevention Plan.
